In 2004, Marylea Conrad graduated with a first class honors degree gaining a Bachelors of Fashion and Textiles Design at the University of Technology, Sydney. She was mentored in her final year by celebrity A-list, Australian designer, Collette Dinnigan’s pattern-maker, Marianne Gelling and drew inspiration from a long time mentor and Australian designer, Christopher Essex, who recently passed away.
As a hardworking family woman, married to husband, Jason and with three-month-old, daughter, Melia, Marylea grants credit to her family for their unbelievable support and particularly her brother and parents, who without them she wouldn’t be living here in paradise.
Melia Conrad’s designs are classic, confident and chic. The designs are feminine and sophisticated, featuring popular halter styles, maillots, the necessary tankini and boy shorts to desirable must-have day-to-evening sundresses and cover-ups.
Marylea is a thinking woman’s designer, concentrating on beauty, but also functionality and comfort. Melia Conrad is designed in Hawaii and made in Australia. |
